Add Your CloudStack Credentials

Why Does Scalr Need Credentials?

Cloud Credentials are needed by Scalr to manage your cloud infrastructure on your behalf. You can obtain the Cloud Credentials required by Scalr through your Cloud Services Provider.

Scalr needs access to your CloudStack Cloud, so you'll need to provide Cloud Credentials. You'll have to provide your existing credentials, or create a new user for Scalr-managed infrastructure.

Create Roles For CloudStack

Scalr needs to be aware of CloudStack Images before you can launch Servers (Instances) on CloudStack. Those Images must also have Scalr's "Scalarizr" agent installed on them. To do so, you'll have to add Roles to Scalr, and associate CloudStack Images with them.  

Start with launching a Server with a supported OS (view Importing a non-Scalr Server) from your CloudStack control panel. Then, follow the steps described in Importing a non-Scalr Server.

You might want to repeat this process multiple times to create multiple Scalr Roles. For example, you could create one Role for each Built-in Role Automation that Scalr supports.
